Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Field Service Technician in the West Midlands. This role encompasses key locations, including Birmingham, Bath, Bristol, Dudley, Gloucester, Hereford, Worcester, Walsall, and Wolverhampton. Role Responsibilities:
As a Field Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will include installing, validating, maintaining, and repairing our Spectroscopy and TOC portfolio of analytical instrumentation. Covering the Gloucester, Bristol, Birmingham, and Walsall regions, you will develop strong relationships with customers, ensuring the delivery of best-in-class service. Additionally, you will promote service contracts and instrument products, support the area sales representative in generating leads, and collaborate with sales and support specialists to enhance total customer satisfaction.
Training and Support:
Upon joining, you will undergo a comprehensive 7-week FULL OEM training in Germany, providing you with the necessary skills and knowledge. Ongoing support will be provided throughout your journey, fostering a team-oriented environment. Key Duties:
· Cultivate strong customer relationships in the defined region.
· Promote service contracts and instrument products.
· Support the area sales representative in lead generation.
· Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate manner.
· Collaborate with sales and support specialists to ensure total customer satisfaction.
· Utilize email and telephone communications to promote relevant and targeted information.
Impact:
This role directly influences the external customer image and satisfaction with our analytical instrument product range. Internally, it contributes to customer satisfaction by supporting the sales team and providing regional customer and service knowledge during pre-sales and post-sales activities.
Person Specification:
· Experience in UV / FTIR / TOC.
· Knowledge of Analytical Instrumentation (e.g., AA / ICP-OES / ICP-MS / EDX).
· Background in Maintenance and Troubleshooting.
· Previous experience as an Engineer or in an Analytical Background with on-site support.
· Experience in GLP/GMP environments.
· A current, clean UK driving license and passport.
