JOB SUMMARY
As a Clinical Specialist you will lead the clinical training with our community of trainers and clinical users, ensuring that our customers are fully confident using our device and its use in a clinical setting. You will work closely with our customers to understand bottlenecks and support to optimise the clinical pathways, helping increasing uptake of our EndoSign test through our hospital network.
WORKING PATTERN AND LOCATION
The role is a full-time position with a standard 37.5 hour working week. The role holder may be required to work flexibly.
In either case they will be expected to spend up to 2 days per week on site with customers
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Oversee the delivery of training of our customers, ensuring that it is delivered to the correct standard.
- Oversee launch activities for new customers to ensure that onboarding is smooth and effective.
- Work closely with our customers to ensure that clinical pathways are optimised to support the delivery of our service.
- Support roll-out of private contract services across the UK and potential expansion of services across Europe.
- Work closely with healthcare institutions to identify suitable patients for adoption of the device, maximising patient recruitment efforts.
- Continuously monitor the adoption and utilisation of the technology in clinical settings and suggest strategies for improving uptake.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, service administrators, and clinical staff to ensure the successful integration of the technology into clinical practice.
- Analyse and understand the clinical pathways relevant to the technology, including patient selection criteria, guidelines and protocols governing the use of the technology.
- Conduct hands-on training sessions for healthcare professionals, ensuring they are proficient in using the technology safely and effectively.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and coordination of a team of specialised nurses focused on supporting the training of the medical device within GI pathways, ensuring consistency, quality, and effectiveness of training.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with the device’s usage, nurse training network and overall service in clinical settings, focusing on patient safety.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop patient education materials that help patients understand the benefits and usage of the device.
- Provide troubleshooting assistance and support to healthcare professionals encountering challenges while using the device.
- Stay updated with industry trends, attend relevant conferences, and participate in training programs to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.
- Ensure all clinical training activities comply with relevant regulations, maintain accurate records, and prepare documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
- Continually develop and optimise training and educational materials, such as manuals, videos, and webinars, to supplement clinical training and provide ongoing support to users.
- Work closely with marketing, sales, product development and regulatory teams to align clinical training efforts with broader organisational goals.
- Regularly report on the progress of clinical training initiatives and communicate with cross-functional teams to align efforts.
- Gather feedback from healthcare professionals and end-users to continuously improve training programs and the device’s usability.

PERSON SPECIFICATION
- You are a endoscopy nurse with 2+ years experience
- You have a strong understanding of an endoscopy department and clinical workflows
- You are used to delivering complex services to tight deadline’s
- You are used to working with confidential information
- You have an understanding of contractual language and commercial terms of service
- You have experience training in a clinical setting
- You understand the theory of change management
